Natural Perfume - Forager Botanicals - A New Natural Perfume Line

I wanted to let you know about a new line of natural perfumes called Forager Botanicals. The proprietor, a Brooklyn resident and graphic designer became disenchanted with mainstream beauty products which contain overpowering scents and harmful chemicals when she became pregnant with her daughter. As a little girl she used to make her own perfumes out of water and flower petals from her grandmothers garden. Forager Botanicals was modeled after these simpler more natural scents and this new line of perfumes was developed for women who are seeking beautiful fragrances made from all natural ingredients.

Last year I was searching everywhere for some cute jelly shoes. This new collaboration with Brazilian designer Mel just landed at Forever 21 stores today. There are sooo many cute pairs in a lot of fun colors and styles. And they are so affordable at $19 a pair.

The famed Liberty of London has again created magic with this new adorable collection for J.Crew. The textile house know for it's cute floral prints has collaborated on everything from shorts to shoes to bags. The perfect answer to a long dreary winter.

Garden Mania

With Spring just around the corner my focus has turned towards the budding plants and blooms peaking from the ground and trees and with them a sense of new beginning. New York Times Style Magazine recently put together this inspiring Garden Mania feature tying together the old and the new of Spring floral inspiration.

I Heart Nail Art Contest

 

We are excited to participate in a fun new program from Sally Hansen. Sally Hansen is hosting a monthly Nail Art contest through May. Each month a winner with the best nail art will be chosen. All the winners will then come to NYC in July/Aug for a final round. The Grand Prize winner will receive $2000 and become the brand ambassador for a year for Sally Hansen. Cool! Nail art has blown up in popularity over the last few years and Sally Hansen has been one of the cutting edge companies providing you the tools to make your own creative designs come to life. For this months Nail Art theme of Color Blocking I chose to use the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri collection. What’s great about the Insta-Dri collection is you only need one coat and it dries in 60 seconds! Insta-Dri comes in a bunch of fun bright bold colors. To create my spring Color Blocking nail art look I chose the following colors; Peachy Breeze, Mint Sprint, Presto Pink, Lickety-SplitLime and Silver Sweep. I first painted each nail a different color, then waited for the polishes to dry. I used the Silver Sweep polish to finish the look by adding a stripe to the top of each nail. Wah-la a fun bold color block look in less than five minutes!
