Teal Color Inspiration

One of my favorite colors in fashion right now is teal. Teal is the green blue color found in Peacock feathers. It has luminous jewel tone and is somewhere in between blue and green. It adds a nice richness to outfits, especially this time of year where colors tend to be darker and more somber. A little hint of teal (or a lot) can brighten up the day. Whether you choose to add an accent piece or put together a totally teal outfit (it works really!) teal is a great choice. It also is one of those colors that looks good in both lighter weight materials like silk and chiffon as well as heavier knits and wools. And don’t forget to capitalize on this years colored denim trend and get some teal jeans like the ones pictured from J Brand. They can be a nice change up from the traditional dark blue denim wash. Teal also makes a fun home accent color and goes especially well with bright green like in this butterfly pillow. Teal can also be a great accent color for weddings. Teal wedding invitations (try the teal and green combo here too) can set a festive tone for an outdoor or tropical wedding.
